ITS HERE! FRIDAY THE 13th!!!

Today it all pays off – After more than two years of dreaming – it is a reality! I will say no more – Go to the WATCH THE FILM section (to your right) to watch the film in eleven segments on YouTube!!! I’m in the process of finding a host and such to stream the film as a whole in full quality. Until then, ENJOY!

DOPPELGANGER: THE SYMBIOTE SAGA is now officially set for the perfect release date of FRIDAY the 13th, 2009! Also, a Promo Reel of the Posters & Promos that were released yesterday is up exclusively on Facebook – but it will be on Youtube later today, so dont worry! A Second Promo Reel is due for release tomorrow – featuring screen captures from the film, which is nearly complete! For now, enjoy these brand new Promos below!

THE POSTER!

It’s all coming together!

I’ve added quite a bit to the site! The sorely needed ‘ABOUT THE FILM’ page has been fully updated, and I’ve added a Concept Art gallery as well! It ranges from character sketches to old poster work!

Last night I stayed up waaaay too late into the wee hours of the morning piecing together the last block of the film- which consists of scenes 22 through the final battle sequence (the Venom portion of the movie). Most of the task was voiceover work that I completed for three different scenes and multiple characters. Some of my favorite stuff to work on is the Venom/symbiote voiceovers – and the scenes that feature it have exceeded my expectations. Its really hard work, but it’s so worth it in the end! I did a lot of composing last night as well, splicing and piecing together music to fit the visuals. I love the entire process – but a score has such weight behind it. If you fuck up the score – you’re messing with the mood and message of the entire movie. I’ve replaced music and rearranged compositions more than I have done anything else in post-production… and its really tedious, frustrating work. I just have to get this right – no use in screwing two months of filming and hard work down the drain with a half-assed score. Fortunately, all of the music for the latter half of the film is working out excellently, and I don’t think I’ll have any problems there. But I’m still struggling to find the tone for the first half of the movie, and I’m short on songs to accomplish it. But I’ve got time, and I’ll get it right. Here’s to hoping, eh!?

My next project for the site is to get a real ‘production photos’ gallery up and running, since there’s only three on the page right now. Other than that, this place is pretty much complete! Make sure to check out the full ‘ABOUT THE FILM’ page, its definitely worth the read! The concept art is pretty interesting as well. Until next time, true believers!
